Dear Friends, Fans & Readers—

Greetings from hot and steamy New Orleans! It's been ages since I've sent out a newsletter or updated my website. For those of you who've written to ask if I'm still writing, the answer is "yes", albeit not nearly as much as I want to or should. It's been a crazy and stressful 2009 so far. My darling husband, who is the picture of health and has the energy of a 20-year-old, has been plagued by some pesky health issues of late. Trying to keep the man still until he's well has been a real challenge for me. Also, my beloved mother-in-law passed away last month just weeks shy of her 90th birthday. While her passing was a blessing, saying goodbye was difficult. Finally, my sweet 15-year-old toy poodle, Molly Brown, who lost most of her vision two years ago following cataract surgery, is showing signs of congenital heart failure. But for now, I'm enjoying every day she's still with us.

On the writing front, I'm putting the finishing touches on my next book for Silhouette Desire, tentatively titled "The Prince and The Matchmaker", which is the story of Meredith Grant (introduced in "What The Millionaire Wants....") and Prince Alexandre de Garibaldi.

Besides the family stuff and writing, I've been super busy helping with the upcoming Gala/Auction and car raffle scheduled for July 25, 2009 to benefit the building of the new St. Anselm Catholic Church. In fact, I'm so excited about the upcoming event that I tried to think of someway to open it up to my friends and fans. While the auction items proved to be a sticking point, the Church agreed to put up an on-line form for you to enter the car raffle for a gorgeous 2008 G8 Pontiac worth $31,000.00! It's $50.00 per ticket—a lot in these tough economic times—but your odds of winning the car are millions of times better than they are to win the lottery because the number of tickets being sold is limited. To take a chance on the car, go to Tickets will not be sold online after Friday, July 17, 2009. If by chance you hold the lucky winning ticket on a future classic car, lunch is on me when you come to New Orleans to claim it!

In addition, if you do take a chance on the car, I'll send you some of my bookmarks as a thank you from me. I'll also enter your name in a special drawing to win a basket of autographed books, treats and other goodies from me worth more than $125.00—PLUS I'll toss in a $50.00 gift certificate from me personally to treat you and a friend to lunch. Don't forget, email me at and let me know you bought a raffle ticket.

Finally, if you've had trouble finding copies of any of my books and would like to snag one for the beach or vacation, go to and click on the link to order books from me. If you don't see the title you want, write it in and if I have it on hand, I'll send it to you.

That's it for now. Have a safe, happy, fun-filled summer and until next time, happy reading!
